Makeup can be an expensive “necessity,” but it doesn’t have to kill your bank account every time you need a new product. Recently on GoodGirlGoneFab, I did a makeup tutorial using all affordable products under $15/16. I love my high-end products, but when there’s an affordable alternative, I much rather try those. So here’s list of 5 affordable high-quality makeup faves that I enjoy! (Hint: They were all featured in my latest video, so check it out!)
- Makeup Revolution Luxury Baking Powder $8 – Available in four colors (Ghost, Lace, Terracotta, and Banana), this powder holds it own against some of my high-end faves. For only $8, you get a mattifying powder that reduces shine, sets cream products and also has color correcting abilities. And most importantly, it doesn’t have any flashback! I use the Banana color, which is great for women of color with golden undertones.
- E.L.F Mineral Infused Mascara $3– I didn’t expect to love this mascara as much as I do but for $3 it’s a surprising win. It’s a great option for lengthening lashes and promotes healthy looking lashes at the same time. I love it especially for bottom lashes because the brush gets the small hairs easily.
- Colourpop No Filter Concealer – $6– I rely on my concealer every day, even on “no makeup” days, I need a bit of concealer to hide a few blemishes. So no matter the cost, I need the concealer I use to be perfect. Colourpop’s No Filter Concealer has grown to one of my holy grail products because it provides full coverage for only $6. Matching your color can be tricky since it’s an online product, so it’s best to watch a YouTuber who is close in color to you for a shade suggestion. (I used Deep Tan 55.)
- Colourpop Yes, Please! Palette $16- Another Colourpop goodies is this eyeshadow palette for only $16! It’s a perfect palette for everyday looks and now for Spring looks since the season is upon us. The palette features 12 shades and the ultimate winners in this palette are the four metallic shades that are very pigmented.
- Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation $11.99– Maybelline is an iconic affordable brand that has always offered great products. Their new Super Stay Foundation is a gem because it provides high-quality, full coverage at a great price. It claims to last 24 hours and is available in 16 shades.
