The eyes may be the window to a person’s soul but they’re also an important feature to focus on the face when applying makeup! This is why I take my lashes very seriously. You can have a beautiful full face of makeup but if your eyelashes don’t stand out, it can wash you out completely. I’ve been getting many compliments on my lashes lately so I decided to share my favorite lash products from mascara to falsies! Check out how I make sure my lashes are long, bold and big!
Mascara!
- I wouldn’t be able to start this post any other way without first thanking Too Faced’s Better Than Sex Mascara for literally changing my life. First thing, it’s clearly not better than sex…but it’s for sure a product I thank the heavens for daily. 😉 The mascara is an intense very black mascara, that maximizes the volume of your lashes! If you’re looking for thick, dark lashes that stand out, this is a great product to consider. I use this mascara on days where I want a dramatic natural lash look. It can be worn alone or to coat your real lashes with your false lashes. It’s $23 but well worth the high end price tag.
- L’ORÉAL’s Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara is the best option for a drug store mascara that adds length! I will be very clear that it will NOT make your lashes thick (or add volume) but it will make them long! Which is great for bottom lashes or anyone who’s looking for just a touch of glam! It’s a great everyday mascara without breaking the bank because it’s only $10!
- Another high end mascara I really love is the Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara. While my Too Faced one adds volume, if you’re looking serious length, go for gold and get this! I especially love it for my bottom lashes! The domed tip lash wand defines and curls and is small enough to get the tiny lashes and make them bigger–and real! The formula comes in three color options- Black, Beyond Brown and Beyond Blue and is $24.
False Lashes!
- When it comes to false lashes, it wasn’t really “my thing” until the past few months. I lived my life in such peasantry not understanding how amazing false lashes were for your look if you’re wearing a full face. I can honestly say that my favorite lashes currently are from DoDo Lashes. They’re 100% Mink Lashes however, they are handcrafted from naturally shed mink hair! A pair of these lashes range from only $5-$12 and there’s free shipping for purchases over $30. They do take awhile to ship (7-25 days for the US), but they’re worth it once you get them!
- If you’re looking for an affordable false lash, you can’t go wrong with any of the Ardell Lashes! They’re as low as $3.99 for a pair and are reusable! If you’re looking for a more dramatic look for less you can always buy an additional pair and stack your favorites for a custom look! They even have Faux Mink Lashes in four styles, that are a great alternative for cruelty free lashes!
- The last pair of false lashes on this list are the Eylure Lashes. They’re also an affordable option for lashes at Ulta Beauty! I especially love the Vegas Nay Lashes because they are bold, thick and glamorous! The lash band is also very durable so can withstand application and reuse! The Vegas Nay Lashes range from $5.99-$11.99 so definitely consider them next time you’re going out!
Another Fab Find: When the day is done and I’m ready to take off my eye makeup, I like to apply the Too Faced Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil! It’s $17 and dissolves regular and waterproof mascara, making the removal process so much easier while conditioning the lash hairs!
