What better way to end a month than to talk about my favorite things I’ve bought and used this month! I always love watching the favorites tag on YouTube so I’m joining in via GoodGirlGoneFab.com. None of the items are new but since my blog is new I now get a chance to talk about them! Most of the things on this list are more of beauty favorites but there’s two items that I love so much that I had to include fashion faves too. So keep scrolling and reading to see what I couldn’t stop using and wearing in October!
- Ben Nye Banana Powder: My best friend, Charletta, bought this for me after I convinced her to buy us each a bottle. She’s so sweet! Nevertheless, of course as a beauty guru in training I need to set my highlight! Duh, so this banana powder is one of the best things I’ve ever used on my face. After using LA Girl Pro Concealer, I use my Real Techniques blending sponge to apply the powder to my under eye, forehead, above my lip and my chin. Then I use a soft powder brush to dust it away. It prevents creasing and helps my makeup to last all day long. My love this so much because I have dark circles so this helps brighten my face as well.
- NYX Eyebrow Gel, Espresso : Another close friend of my mine, Tierra, introduced me to this product and I bought it soon after that. I haven’t been getting my brows threaded because they seem to be over plucked in areas and I want them to grow. But, I want them to look good while I let the run wild. The NYX eyebrow gel is amazing with filling in sparse areas and still looking pretty natural. I’ve been getting compliments on my brows even though I haven’t got them threaded in over a month! I also love this because you only need a small amount to enhance your brows!
- Maybelline FIT ME Foundation 355 Coconut: When I was nearing the end of my MAC Matchmaster foundation, I needed a less expensive alternative. I’ve heard of this foundation from YouTube but was skeptical to try because drug store makeup can be hit or miss. Luckily, this was a huge bull’s eye hit. I love it so much that I use it daily! It’s almost just as good as the MAC foundation. My only complaint is that it’s runny and not as full coverage. So its great for an everyday look but not so much for dramatic and full looks. I liked it so much that I purchased it again last week when I was getting low.
- Hollywood Fashion Tape: I got this tape sooooooo long ago but I’m just now using it! I got it from a clothing store (can’t remember which one, Windsor or Charlotte Russe). It worked wonders a few times this month when my tops wouldn’t stay how I want them to. It had about 30 or so pieces of double-sided tape, which is good because I don’t need to use it everyday. Its pretty strong tape but it is also not harsh on my skin. I love it.
- Booties!: Im so excited for these! I’ve been wanting a pair of booties for about a year. It’s crazy that I’ve never had a pair but 2015 is my GLO’ up year so I bossed my life up and got some. My favorite thing about these super simple yet chic shoes are that they were only about $16 at Charlotte Russe (Originally $42)! I’ve only worn them once to work (H&M) but I know I’ll be wearing them again very soon…Probably in a style post for you guys! 😉
