I take my nails very seriously, it is one of my favorite parts of the beauty process. And over the last few months I have been trying to find the perfect nail place. Since I’ve been home, I have been going to a place in Southfield to get my nails done. However, even though it was recommended by my mom and sister I never really liked the place. I kept going because it was cheap and close by but you get what you pay for…
When I was in New York City for the summer, I would find random nail places by my dorm and most of the places I went to were good. But my favorite nail place for the last two years is in East Lansing Michigan. However since I’m back home with my family I can’t travel hour to get my nails done. So finding a great nail place in the Detroit area has been one of my goals as of late.
Luckily, one of my coworkers at H&M has some of the best nails I’ve ever seen. Every time she gets her nails done I compliment them because they are amazing. I hardly ever want to show my hands around her. Haha. So yesterday while I was thinking about getting my nails done I glanced at hers and asked “Where do you get y
our nails done?”
That conversation led to her telling me about Luxury Nail Salon & Spa in Fairlane Mall and her recommendation lead to me finding my (new) favorite nail place of all time. I’m not too high maintenance but I do enjoy nice things so I was fine spending the extra money to get a completely new full set. Kevin, my nail tech for the day, was patient and efficient but I was still out of the nail salon in a decent time. It was a Tuesday afternoon, so there was no wait but there were still a steady stream of seemingly loyal customers. I plan to be back to Luxury Nails as soon as I need a fill in…and every time after that. They also offer other services at the salon but I haven’t had the chance to try anything else out. I HIGHLY recommend this place is you want quality, yes it’s not cheap but sometimes you can splurge on yourself. The fab in you deserves it. 💁
I got coffin style tips with baby pink shellac. I never got them before but I was itching to try something new and cute. I follow nail pages on Instagram and take screen shots of future styles I would love to try. Luckily this place made me feel like I was a hand model for the pages I adore. I can’t stop staring at my hands and every selfie for the next two weeks will have a glimpse of my hand. Lol. I love my baby pink coffins. I don’t know the color or brand but I do know that it is #75 in Luxury Nail’s shellac selection.
But I aim to please, so here are my 3 picks for a baby pink nail color if you love the color as much as I do. I know it’s not a “fall color” but I love breaking rules because “Well behaved women seldom make history.” 😉

What is the name of the place you like in east Lansing? I’ve been trying to find a good nail place out here
